Gigi Adaya is the Founder and Lead Instructor of Adsylo Academy and has served as a California Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) Administrator since 2013. With more than a decade of firsthand experience in residential care, she brings a practical understanding of facility operations, staff leadership, regulatory compliance, and the day-to-day responsibilities of caring for older adults.

As a former residential care facility owner and operator, Gigi has managed care teams, supervised staff, supported resident care, worked closely with families, and handled the operational and compliance responsibilities involved in running a licensed residential care setting. These experiences have shaped her approach to leadership, one centered on accountability, clear communication, sound judgment, compassion, and respect for the dignity and individual needs of every resident.

Building positive relationships with families has also been an important part of her experience. Gigi understands that quality care depends not only on meeting regulatory requirements, but also on strong communication and collaboration among administrators, caregivers, residents, and families.

Gigi holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and completed advanced graduate-level coursework in the field. Combining her knowledge of technology with her residential care experience, she developed Aetro, a software platform designed to help residential care administrators organize daily operations, documentation, and compliance-related processes. Her experience in both technology and residential care allows her to approach industry challenges from both an operational and systems perspective.

At Adsylo Academy, Gigi personally develops curriculum and creates live and self-paced training programs for administrators, caregivers, and other care professionals. As a California Department of Social Services training vendor, she develops course content based on applicable DSS training requirements, California regulations, care standards, and the practical responsibilities professionals encounter in residential care settings.

Her goal as an instructor is to make complex information easier to understand and apply while helping learners strengthen their knowledge, confidence, leadership skills, and ability to provide high-quality care.

Outside of her professional work, Gigi is a proud mother of five. Her family continues to influence the values she brings to her work, including responsibility, patience, compassion, lifelong learning, and service to others.
