What is Adsylo Academy?
Adsylo Academy is a training and support platform serving RCFE and ARF administrators, licensees, caregivers, and care-related businesses. We provide educational resources, training programs, and support services designed to help care professionals navigate California DSS Community Care Licensing requirements and day-to-day operations.

What is an RCFE?
An RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) is a licensed care facility in California that provides non-medical care, supervision, meals, and assistance with daily living activities for older adults, typically ages 60 and above. RCFEs are commonly known as assisted living facilities or board and care homes.
What is an ARF?
An ARF (Adult Residential Facility) is a licensed community care facility in California that provides 24-hour non-medical care and supervision to adults ages 18–59 who may need support with daily living activities.
What is Assisted Living?
Assisted living is a type of supportive housing designed for older adults who may need help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, medication reminders, meals, housekeeping, and supervision, while still maintaining as much independence as possible.
Who are Adsylo Academy courses designed for?
Our courses are designed for RCFE and ARF administrators, caregivers, operators, staff members, and individuals seeking educational resources related to senior care and residential care operations.
Are your courses approved by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS)?
Adsylo Academy is a California Department of Social Services (CDSS) approved training vendor under the Continuing Education Training Program (CETP).

Our RCFE and ARF continuing education courses are currently in the final phase of the course review and approval process with CDSS.
In addition, our RCFE Initial Certification Training Program (ICTP) is also currently pending final course approval review with CDSS.
Course availability, approvals, and schedules may vary based on the applicable program and approval status.
What types of training do you offer?
We offer self-paced online courses, live-stream instruction, continuing education training, administrator training resources, compliance-focused education, and operational support materials for care professionals.
Do you offer self-paced online courses?
Yes. Our platform is designed to provide flexible self-paced online learning experiences that allow students to complete educational content remotely and at their own pace.
Will certificates be provided after course completion?
Certificates of completion will be issued for eligible courses after learners successfully complete required course activities, attendance requirements, and assessments.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major debit and credit cards, secure online payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle, Venmo, and other approved payment methods for eligible services and programs. Available payment options may vary depending on the course, training program, or service provided.
Refund & Rescheduling Policy
Self-Paced Online Courses
Due to the digital nature of self-paced online training materials and immediate course access upon enrollment, all self-paced course purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Please review course details carefully before enrolling.
Live-Stream Training Courses
All live-stream training registrations are generally non-refundable. However, we understand that unexpected scheduling conflicts may occur.
Participants may request to transfer or reschedule their registration to a future available live-stream session at no additional cost, provided that:
The request is submitted at least 7 calendar days prior to the scheduled live-stream date whenever possible.
Rescheduling requests are subject to future course availability.
We strive to work with participants whenever reasonably possible to accommodate scheduling changes.
Missed Sessions
Participants who are unable to attend their scheduled live-stream session are encouraged to contact Adsylo Academy as soon as possible to discuss available options.
Course Access & Enrollment Responsibility
By enrolling in a course, participants acknowledge responsibility for reviewing course schedules, course format details, and technology requirements prior to enrollment.
Policy Updates
Adsylo Academy reserves the right to update or modify course policies, schedules, procedures, or training availability as needed.

Will I receive a certificate after completing a course?
Eligible courses may include a certificate of completion after all required course components are successfully completed.
Are your caregiver training courses available worldwide?
Yes. Certain caregiver training courses offered by Adsylo Academy may be available online to individuals worldwide, depending on course accessibility and local internet availability.
Eligible participants who successfully complete applicable course requirements may receive a certificate of completion.
Please note that course content, certificates of completion, or educational materials may not meet licensing, certification, or regulatory requirements outside applicable jurisdictions.
Participants are responsible for reviewing any local training or employment requirements that may apply in their area.
Are Adsylo Academy courses self-paced?
Some courses may be offered in a self-paced online format, allowing participants to complete lessons at their own pace within the course access period.
Do you offer live-stream training courses?
Adsylo Academy has applied for live-stream training course approval for applicable RCFE and ARF programs through the California Department of Social Services (CDSS).
Our planned live-stream training programs include:
RCFE ICTP: 60 Hours Live-Stream Instruction
RCFE CETP: 20 Hours Live-Stream Instruction
ARF CETP: 20 Hours Live-Stream Instruction
These programs are currently pending applicable course approval review and scheduling availability through CDSS. Live-stream schedules, enrollment announcements, and course availability may be released as approvals are finalized.

What is the California Department of Social Services (CDSS)?
The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is the state agency responsible for overseeing various community care licensing programs, including certain residential care facilities in California.
What is the Administrator Certification Bureau (ACB)?
The Administrator Certification Bureau (ACB) is part of the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and oversees administrator certification programs and certain training requirements related to RCFE and ARF administrator education in California.
What is an RCFE Initial Certification Training Program (ICTP)?
The RCFE Initial Certification Training Program (ICTP) is an educational training program designed to help individuals meet applicable training requirements related to becoming an RCFE administrator in California.
Program requirements, hours, topics, examinations, and certification processes are established and regulated by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS).
What are the current CDSS CETP renewal requirements for RCFE and ARF administrators?
Current California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Continuing Education Training Program (CETP) renewal requirements generally include:
ARF Administrators: 40 hours every 2 years
RCFE Administrators: 40 hours every 2 years
Current CDSS guidelines generally require:
✔️At least 20 hours to be completed through an approved live-stream or in-person format
✔️Up to 20 hours may be completed through an approved self-paced online format
Additional subject-specific requirements may apply depending on the facility type and administrator certification category.
Is there a limit to how many CETP training hours may be completed in one day?
Yes. Current CDSS guidelines generally state that no more than 10 hours of instruction may be completed in a single day for CETP training purposes.
Does RCFE continuing education include dementia-related training?
Yes. Current CDSS guidelines generally require RCFE administrators to complete:
✔️At least 4 hours related to laws, regulations, policies, and procedural standards
✔️At least 8 hours in subjects related to serving residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias
Requirements may change based on current CDSS regulations and renewal guidelines.
Can ICTP hours be used toward CETP renewal requirements?
No. Current CDSS guidelines generally state that Initial Certification Training Program (ICTP) hours cannot be used to satisfy Continuing Education Training Program (CETP) renewal requirements for administrator certificate renewals.
Do RCFE and ARF regulations apply to both smaller and larger facilities?
Yes. California Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) and Adult Residential Facility (ARF) regulations generally apply to both smaller residential care homes and larger licensed care facilities.
Facility size, resident capacity, level of care, staffing, and operational requirements may vary depending on the facility type, license category, and applicable California Department of Social Services (CDSS) regulations.
Examples may include:
✔️Smaller residential care homes (such as 6-bed facilities)
✔️Larger assisted living or residential care communities
Training topics discussed in applicable courses may address regulatory concepts relevant to various licensed care settings.
What are some general qualifications to become an RCFE administrator in California?
Current California Department of Social Services (CDSS) guidelines generally require individuals seeking RCFE administrator certification to meet applicable qualification requirements, which may include:
✔️Be at least 21 years of age
✔️Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
✔️Complete an approved 80-hour RCFE Initial Certification Training Program (ICTP)
✔️Pass the state-administered, 100-question open-book examination covering applicable Title 22 regulations and Health and Safety Code requirements with a minimum passing score established by CDSS
✔️Submit fingerprints through an approved Live Scan process for applicable Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) criminal background clearance requirements through the Guardian system
✔️Submit applicable certification forms and fees required by CDSS
Current CDSS guidelines may also include certain facility-specific administrator qualification requirements, such as:
16–49 Resident Facilities: At least one year of work experience in residential care
50+ Resident Facilities: Three years of work experience in residential care, including at least one year in direct care or management experience, or completion of applicable college or continuing education semester units
RCFE-NHA: Individuals with a valid Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license may be required to complete specialized training in designated core areas instead of the full 80-hour ICTP requirement
